Welcome
To Tony Gunderson's Page! See His Baby Bass Lure Below!
Hi Ray,
The boat is a 14 ft. Lowe. I made it this winter
(burr, I live in Idaho)! I learned a lot. Everything on this boat is round not
square! I wasted 2 sheets of plywood tearing things out. I left the seat in
the back in and cut the top out of the front seat where the storage
compartment is.
I had a transom mount trolling motor and bought a
scissor mount on e-bay. actually e-bay is my best friend. The seat pedestals
were only $19 each.
I don't have a lot in the boat 3 sheets of
plywood. A gallon of spar varnish, screws, bilge. Check out the plastic
hinges. .69 cents a foot. They are made for outdoor use. I glued foam on the
bottom of the boat and the carpet makes it quiet. The rod lockers are great. I
wish I had made them bigger. The curve of the boat takes out a lot of space.
On the other side I have a set of oars and an anchor rope.
I used welding leads to power the electric motor.
I have not wired the boat yet. I bought some heavy duty toggle switches on
e-bay. 6 for $4.00 and they can handle 10 amps.
I've already changed the front pedestal to a
higher one. For bass fishing you need one higher if you cast underhand.
I love the boat. Two people can stand up and fish
quite comfortably.
The picture below is of the lure I designed.
Thanks, Tony
